Wax Statues, Cotton Candy, and the Second Coming
was published several years after we moved to Light Morning. Based on
our dreams, a series of evocative meditations, and on the spiral dance
of the seasons, the book conveys the foundational intent which has
anchored us here for close to thirty years.
What follows is not so
much an account of homesteading or life in community. Instead, it is
part of an ongoing search for the hidden source of a seemingly
insatiable longing. It is a story about the refining of a desire, and
about how dreams and religious dramas serve as way stations between
heaven and Earth. Finally, it is the story of one dream in particular, a
dream about wax statues and cotton candy, a dream that came like a seed
during the first night that we spent on the newly acquired land. (From
the Preface)
Below is the Table of Contents for Wax Statues,
which is subtitled, "An Inner Exploration of the Essenes, the Birth
of Christianity, and Its Impending Renewal." It is followed by
Chapter One, and some information about ordering the book in case you'd
